Our Financial Restructuring group advises corporate debtors on all aspects of restructuring and insolvency proceedings. We propose workouts, including ADR restructuring and legal rehabilitation proceedings under the Civil Rehabilitation Law, the Corporate Reorganization Law and the Specific Arbitration Law.
Highly regarded by the courts, we have been appointed as a trustee, deputy trustee and supervisor in various proceedings under the Civil Rehabilitation Law, the Corporate Reorganization Law and the Bankruptcy Law for many years. This experience enables us to successfully balance conflicting interests among stakeholders including creditors, investors, sponsors and lenders. We also frequently act as a filing attorney under the Special Liquidation Proceeding and insolvency proceedings. Our in-depth expertise enables us to provide sound advice to avert or alleviate a corporate crisis. We also propose alternative solutions including reorganization or disposition, if necessary, to quickly revitalize a business.
The Financial Restructuring group specializes in cross-border insolvency proceedings and provides advice on proceedings related to cross-border workout, Chapter 11 proceedings under the US Bankruptcy Law, and UK bankruptcy proceedings. We also have significant experience representing local and international creditors, sponsors and lenders against failed corporations. Our team is proactively involved in direct negotiations with stakeholders and debt collection from distressed corporations, assisting with the transfer of non-performing loans and debtor-in-possession (DIP) finance.
