Representative Experience

  • Represented a Japanese company in arbitration filed with the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation & Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC) by an Abu Dhabi subcontractor involving claims arising from a construction project.
  • Represented a Japanese mining company in relation to an ICC arbitration concerning a coal mining project in Japan.
  • Represented an Australian pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration regarding claims by a Japanese foundation.
  • Represented a Greek distributor against a Japanese automobile company in JCAA arbitration relating to termination of a distributorship agreement.
  • Acted as arbitrator in a JCAA arbitration between a Swiss pharmaceutical company and its Japanese counterpart in a dispute relating to the termination of an exclusive license agreement.
  • Acted as co-arbitrator in a JCAA arbitration between two Japanese construction companies regarding a major overseas project.
  • Represented a Japanese company in a construction dispute in mediation under the rules of the Singapore International Mediation Centre.
  • Represented a client in relation to the recognition and enforcement of an interim arbitral award in a dispute with a Japanese tool manufacturer and retailer.
