Representative Experience

Represented a Japanese electronics company in civil litigation against a US industrial machinery manufacturer involving indemnity claims in relation to undisclosed patent infringement liabilities arising from a business that the client acquired from the US company.
Represented an Indian computer software and system vendor in relation to a JPY11.5 billion claim against a Japanese loan company.
Represented a Japanese food company before the Mexican tax authorities in relation to an imposed obesity tax. The Mexican court confirmed that the client’s products were not subject to the tax.
Represented an Australian pharmaceutical company against a USD65 million claim by a Japanese government-related laboratory.
Represented a French media company in JPY30 million litigation involving the termination of an office lease.
Provided a Japanese chemical manufacturer with strategic advice on a construction engineering contract dispute with other Japanese manufacturers in Thailand.
