We advise clients on a variety of real estate finance transactions and have experience representing banks, investment banks, funds, originators, debtors and investors. We also have a broad range of experience in real estate structured finance. Our expertise includes complex domestic and cross-border property and portfolio financing transactions, sales of performing and non-performing loan portfolios, loan modifications, refinancings, workouts, loan syndications and participations. We also work closely with our tax colleagues to provide structuring advice.

Representative Experience

Advised a Chinese real estate company on its acquisition of Chiba Port, including the Candeo Hotel.
Advised an international asset management company on the JPY50 billion securitization of Hotel Nikko Tokyo through a TMK structure.
Advised for an international financial institution on the restructuring of the holding structure of a logistics facility used by a Japanese logistics company from a TMK to a TK-GK structure.
Advised a J-REIT company on the refinancing of a large Japanese real estate portfolio held in trust.
