Please note that this seminar will be held at BELLESALLE Onarimon Tower.

Please join us for the third seminar in Baker McKenzie’s Navigating International Project Finance seminar series, “A closer look at international power projects.”

As we indicated previously, this series has been designed for investors, developers, lenders, contractors and other participants in the project value chain who are impacted by financing considerations. Over the course of the seminar series, we will guide you through key concepts in project financing structures, risk management techniques, cash flow considerations, and financing sources as well as other key financing considerations as they apply to the financing of international projects.

The first seminar, “Key issues in financing emerging market energy projects,” provided an overview of emerging market project financing, covering such topics as the key finance parties and documents, project bankability and risk mitigation, cash flow issues and hedging.

The second seminar, “A closer look at key issues when developing and financing international projects,” looked more closely at hot button issues including JVs/shareholder structures, intercreditor issues, the role of sponsor support, lenders’ perspectives in relation to project documents and claim management in energy project construction.

This third seminar will place the material from the first and second seminars in context by focusing specifically on international power projects, including technical documentation considerations, bankability and risk mitigation and relevant trends in the international power space.

We will also be joined by guest speaker Martin David, the firm’s Head of Projects for Asia and Global Co-Head for Power.
