In a recent speech entitled “Compliance is a Culture, Not Just a Policy,” Brent Snyder of the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division (“DOJ”) said that DOJ expects that every company “should ensure that it has a proactive compliance program. Given today’s massive penalties and the threat of prison sentences for cartel violations, many companies know they need to add a monitoring and auditing component to their antitrust compliance program, in addition to understanding the recent developments in enforcement around the world.

Our expert cartel practitioners from the US, EU, China and Singapore invite you to a breakfast seminar on international cartel investigations.

The first Panel will provide a ‘need to know’ update on the latest trends in cartel enforcement in Japan, the US, EU, Singapore and other jurisdictions. Specifically, this Panel will discuss:

What are the major antitrust investigations and the ensuing fines and damages actions, especially so for Japan-based companies and their foreign subsidiaries?
