プロフィール

東京事務所においてファイナンス&プロジェクトグループに所属し、再生可能・クリーンエネルギーグループの共同代表を務める。

再生可能・クリーンエネルギーグループの共同代表として、業界を代表する会議等での講演や、東京事務所メンバーと協同して配信している日本の再生可能エネルギー関連法案等のアップデートが海外企業の日本市場投資を行う際のガイドとなっている。特に洋上風力発電関連の会議やイベントにも積極的に参画し、日本において本分野に関する数多くの最新情報を発信している。

東京事務所に入所する以前の1995年から1998年にかけて、ベーカーマッケンジーバンコク事務所において訴訟・仲裁グループに所属。また1999年から2003年には、シドニー事務所において大型プロジェクト・コーポレートグループに所属。

東京事務所に移ってから3年間、日系大手電力会社に出向した経験を有す。

取扱業務

従来型および再生可能エネルギー電力発電プロジェクト(風力、太陽光及びバイオマス含む)、天然資源分野における企業買収や合弁事業、大型プロジェクト、企業法務を主に取扱う。

日系企業による海外電力開発事業への投資案件に従事し、日系大手電力会社や商社の海外鉱業、石油・ガスプロジェクトへの投資案件を代理。

2012年日本に再生可能エネルギー買取価格制度が導入されて以降、数多くの海外投資企業による再生可能エネルギープロジェクトに対する買収、開発、ファイナンス、工事案件に従事。

また、近年の洋上風力発電市場の高まりにより、多くの世界的洋上風力発電開発企業の日本市場参入や、海外企業の日本における電力小売市場参入にも多々携わり、日本で初めて電力小売業者登録の取得した海外企業の代理も務める。

主要実績

  • グローバル洋上風力発電開発企業の日本市場参入を代理。
  • グローバル再生可能エネルギー企業の日本における洋上風力発電プロジェクト開発へのアドバイスを提供。
  • 日本における小売電気事業に関してアメリカの電力子会社を代理。これは外資系電力小売会社が日本の電力小売業者登録をした初のケースとなる。
  • 日本の電力市場への参入について海外エネルギー会社にアドバイスを提供。
  • 中部地方20MW太陽光発電プロジェクト、九州地方800kWなど九州において、欧州のEPC企業を代理。
  • 北陸地方における22MW太陽光発電プロジェクトにおいて、海外IPP企業による買収及び開発を代理。
  • 福島県における25MW太陽光発電プロジェクトにの買収について、海外プロジェクト開発会社を代理。
  • 日本全体で200MWに及ぶ太陽光発電プロジェクトの買収について、海外プロジェクト開発会社を代理。
  • 広島の太陽光発電事業のプロジェクト化及び契約において海外企業を代理。
  • 2007年にタイIPP事業獲得のため、日系電力会社を代理。日系電力企業による2つのタイSPP (Small Power Producers)事業投資を代理。
  • 日系電力企業によるバイオマス事業投資(タイで2件、マレーシアで1件)を代理。
  • 日系風力発電企業によるオーストラリア風力発電プロジェクト買収を代理。
  • シンガポール、米国、中東で事業を展開する船舶用燃料企業の再編において、出資者である日系商社を代理。さらにその後のシンガポール証券取引所へのIPOにおいて、船舶用燃料企業を代理。
  • オーストラリア、インドネシアおよびカナダにおける10カ所以上の炭坑の買収と権益売却案件において、日本の投資家を代理。
  • 西オーストラリアにおける大型LNGプロジェクトの持分買収案件において、日本の電力会社を代理。
  • フランスの上場自動車販売会社の株式8%の取得案件において、日本の商社を代理。
