We are currently taking the following measures in response to the coronavirus outbreak:
【Wearing of masks】
Attorneys and other employees may sometimes wear masks during meetings and on other occasions.
【Working from home】
We are fully implementing work from home arrangements for the entire Tokyo office until Tuesday April 14 (with the exception of some essential personnel). This duration of these arrangements may change depending on the situation.
【Postponement and cancellation of seminars】
We may be forced to postpone or cancel seminars. We will provide updates on changes to our seminar plans when appropriate.
【Shorter office service hours】
Reception and other office services will be provided from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm starting on Monday, 2 March. We are encouraging the use of telephone and video conferencing to the extent possible.
【Coronavirus Resource Center】
We have created a new coronavirus client resource page to serve as a clearinghouse for information on such key issues as employer obligations, contract issues, supply chain disruptions, financing and insurance. Please check the site frequently as it will be regularly updated.
【Visitor Health Information】
We are asking that all visitors to our office fill out a visitor health information form at reception upon arrival.
【Business Continuity Plan】
Please find the business continuity plan enacted by Baker McKenzie in response to the novel coronavirus here.
