Please join us for a complimentary seminar on Monday, 12 March 2018 focused on key contract drafting issues for offshore wind power generation projects.

The seminar will be centered around our firm’s experiences in Europe, where offshore wind farm projects typically involve multiple contracts rather than a single comprehensive EPC contract. For this reason, it is important to ensure that each contract’s particular characteristics effectively cover the entire package of work required for the project and that the interface of each contract is complete and consistent in scope. A colleague from our Toronto office will offer some practical insights on these issues gained from his involvement in drafting and negotiating legal documentation for a series of offshore wind farm projects across Europe. We hope this presentation will help to provide useful background for the preparation of contract documents for offshore wind power projects in Japan.

In the seminar, we will also update participants on the proposed draft bill on the Promotion of Offshore Use for Offshore Renewable Power Development in Japan (subject to availability).
